NBA announces 51 early entry contenders withdraw from 2021 draft

The 2021 NBA Draft presented by State Farm takes place on Thursday, July 29, starting at 8 ET.

NEW YORK – Forty-nine international players who had previously declared themselves candidates for early entry for the 2021 NBA Draft presented by State Farm have withdrawn their candidacy. In addition to the 88 college and other educational institution players who had previously withdrawn their candidacy, two other college and educational institution players who had previously declared themselves also withdrew. There are eight international prospects and 209 players from colleges and other educational institutions who remain candidates for early entry.

NBA Draft 2021 presented by State Farm takes place on Thursday, July 29 at 8 p.m. ET. ESPN platforms will exclusively air the NBA Draft for the 19th consecutive year and for the first time it will air on both ABC and ESPN.
