Founded in 1979, Action contre la Faim is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by ending hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. In 2021, Action Against Hunger helped more than 25 million people in 46 countries around the world.


Under the direct responsibility of the Dnipro Area Coordinator, your main objective is to ensure the overall implementation of projects in the area, coordinating activities and strengthening the capacity of program managers to identify and implement activities quality program responsibly, while respecting donor requirements and ACF’s mission strategy. You will lead a team of program managers and support them in providing the necessary assistance in your focus area. Your main areas of responsibility are: – With the Area Coordinator, identify sectoral needs, to design program strategy and operational development – Support and coordinate program managers to ensure implementation, monitoring and project reporting – Support program managers to contribute to program quality and accountability processes and measure the impact of the program – As a direct manager, listen, delegate, support and build the capacity of program managers and participate in recruitment activities – In collaboration with the zone coordinator, contribute to the coordination and representation of ACF in your intervention zone – Lead the identification and development of strong relationships with new and existing partners


– You hold a bachelor’s degree in humanitarian aid, international relations or any other related field – You have a solid experience in leading humanitarian projects within INGOs – You have excellent skills in capacity building – You have experience of working in contexts affected by conflicts – You are competent in budget management – You have excellent people management skills, you are able to federate your teams towards common objectives – You are also an excellent communicator, you are an active listener, and are able to build strong relationships internally and externally – You have good writing and reporting skills – You are organized in your tasks, and are able to set priorities especially if the workload gets heavy – You are autonomous and self-motivated, and can make appropriate decisions under pressure – You are fluent in English english – You can ideally speak Ukrainian or Russian (not compulsory)


– Fixed-term contract of 6 months under French legislation – Gross monthly salary from 2450 to 2800EUR depending on experience – Monthly per diem and subsistence allowance: 412EUR and 274EUR net, paid in the field – Monthly country allowance: 450EUR – Child allowance: 1500EUR per year and per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000EUR/year) – 16% of the gross monthly salary for the reimbursement of pension insurance for foreign nationals – Transport and accommodation: Support for transport costs and pension – Medical cover: 100% reimbursement of health contributions (social security + health insurance) and repatriation insurance – Leave and RnR: 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR for each RnR period – Training: Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©
